Begin trekking through forested trails and alpine meadows. Stop at Sachen (~2200 m) for acclimatization, then continue to Tsokha (~2960 m / 9700 ft). This half-day trek allows trekkers to adjust to higher altitudes. Overnight camping at Tsokha.
A challenging day (~9 km / 6–7 hours) with sustained climbs through Phedang to reach Dzongri (~3965 m / 13,005 ft). Trek through rhododendron forests and alpine meadows while enjoying panoramic mountain views. Overnight camp at Dzongri.
Early morning trek to Goechala Viewpoint (~4600 m / 15,100 ft) to witness the majestic Kanchenjunga sunrise. Descend to Lamuney / Thangsing (~4150 m / 13,700 ft) for overnight camp. Total trekking distance ~15 km, 8–10 hours. A long but rewarding day.
Begin the descent (~15 km / 6–7 hours) from Lamuney through Dzongri meadows, Tsokha, and alpine forests back to Yuksom. After reaching Yuksom, drive back to NJP/Bagdogra (~160 km / 7–8 hours), concluding the 5-day Himalayan adventure.
